I learned that I the way I store fruits and vegetables can keep them from spoiling for longer. For example, I now keep apples in the fridge and refrain from washing fruit until I plan to use it. Since produce gone bad has been a large component of my past food waste, the tips on these websites will keep me from letting food go bad and throwing it away.

From the website links, I learned that I can still cut off moldy bits, brown and bruised fruit is still safe to eat, and that spoiled pasteurized milk is safe for baking. This knowledge will keep me from throwing many items away in the future.
