Anybody else over the moon happy when they have a quick meal all ready in the fridge to take to work!

Just read a quote that says American's waste 25% of the food they buy. Like buying 4 bags of groceries and dropping 1 bag in the parking lot! If that doesn't put everything into perspective!!!

Came really close to losing a 20$ pack of chicken thighs by them falling behind something in the fridge - grabbed em, boiled them with seasoning, salts, and tons of garlic! Everyone enjoys food for a few days now!

Did anyone do this with their kids? Ask them to try 1 (one) "no thank you" bite before deciding if they did not like something?

Goat cheese makes all leftovers tasty! I'm serious. I made a salad with as many wilted greens as possible (tossed the ones that couldn't be eaten to the rabbits in my backyard), and used lemon juice + olive oil, once the leftover salad was put in the fridge it almost turned into a greens that I put under my meals.

Cooking Cook From Snout to Tail
How willing are you and members of your household to try eating recipes that use different parts of an animal? What do you think would be your biggest challenge?

This is not that hard, as our culture eats parts others typically don't. I've tried using this challenge to make bone broth for my dogs - pretty cool!

Which citrus do you have the most of and what kind of cleaning product will you make?

Lemon peels and orange peels. The orange peels are quite helpful in keeping animals off things you don't want them on!
  • Reflection Question
Planning Make Time for Meal Prep
Do you have days when you don't have time to spend making food? How has meal prep helped one those days?

Working three jobs, and being a caregiver to an adult - everyday is a day I don't have time. When I meal prep, I trade off doing other things, but it's so worth it when I have a meal here at work ready to eat!
