    Tossing fruit and veggie peels. Learned that I can add corn cobs to my broth batches.

    I stick close to my list. While I tend to buy one can of a listed item, my husband often buys multiples. That probably saves time and money us too.

    I made a big batch of plant-based mix of lentils, mushrooms, tomatoes and spices. I freeze it in 1 1/2 cup portions for topping baked potatoes and making chili, soup, or burritos.

    My mother taught me to waste as little as possible. Also Rooted Green Wellness taught me about freezing scraps for making broth.
