    I've been concerned about food systems since reading "Diet for a Small Planet" in the early 70's.   This concern led to joining a food coop, eating healthy organics foods, buying produce from Farmer's Markets, freezing large amounts of summer produce for year-round use .  Have been an environmental activist for many years through my UU church, neighborhood green team which I founded, and now in my condo building as Green Ct. leader. Recent focus for Committee work has been on food solutions to climate change  with creation of an organics recycling program at my condo and engagement of others in reducing waste and eating less meat and more plant foods.
